IT Services provided design and implementation consultancy to a client that needed to migrate an existing wide area network based on slow point to point leased lines to a faster more reliable solution that could connect remote offices throughout the UK to a datacenter in the Midlands.

We proposed a solution based on a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network accessed by broadband Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Lines (ADSL) and industry leading Cisco routers. Resilience is provided by means of an Internet virtual private network, (VPN) accessed by broadband Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Lines (ADSL) and Watchguard firewall appliances.

A remote office located within 1 kilometre of the datacentre is connected via a high speed wireless network and mobile workers are given access via a remote user virtual private network, (RUVPN).
